Bulthaup kitchen systems are world renowned, custom made for each client in their historic factory in Bavaria, Germany. Typically, there is a significant waiting period from the signing of the contract to delivery of the install. The client commissioned us to create a number of Scent Happenings at flagship showrooms around the United States to entertain clients and get them excited about the sensory possibilities of their future kitchens. We created original scents using pure botanical materials to suggest and enhance materiality of these bespoke environements and along with a series of aromatic artworks that celebrate nature, artistry and and the environment. Our Scent Notes, using handmade Italian cotton papers, we used to create a cloud of scent in the Bulthaup Showrooms and vials of precious scent were given to clients to use in their personal spaces and environments.
